This newly created position is available at our site in East Bendigo.  We are a privately owned company providing premium ready to eat solutions into Retail, Food Service, QSR and Industrial sectors.

This position, reporting to the Site Manager, requires a trade qualified, self motivated person who can demonstrate strong organisational skills and leadership skills with the ability to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities include (Not Limited to): 

• Ensuring the maintenance department operate efficiently, complying to all safety policies and procedures and all statutory and legal requirements;
• Manage resources such that maintenance requests are prioritised appropriately to meet the business needs and expectations;
• Drive and model a leadership style and behaviour that supports a safety culture at all times.
• Managing the departmental budget ensuring budgeted costs and expenditure are in line with  forecasts;
• Drive cultural change through empowering, leading and role modelling business principles and values;
• Lead continuous improvement and capability through effective coaching and mentoring;
• Enhance the preventative maintenance program.
• Manage people to deliver exceptional service.

Requirements for the role:

• Highly motivated;
• Strong Leadership skills;
• Maintenance Management Experience
• Excellent computer skills;
• FMCG Experience required:
• Meat processing experience (highly regarded):
• Dual (electrical and mechanical) background is preferred;
• Must be able to work afternoon shifts and weekends as required - important aspect;
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build relationships;
