An opportunity now exists for a proactive and energetic individual to join our team as a Product Development Coordinator - Electrical Devices.
Role Responsibilities:
- Specifies and designs the functional electrical requirements of various products.
- Communicates and coordinates control design issues with vendors
- Undertake testing and evaluation of new and problem components
- Be familiar with schematic and wiring diagram layouts for appliances
- Supports compliance to approval agencies requirements
- Supports technical service in determining various causes & fixes of problems reported from the field
- Explores, develops and recommends cost improvement ideas which will benefit the company
- Cross-cultural understanding and able to work people with ethnic backgrounds
Your profile:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 2-5 years electrical related experience
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Candidate must take ownership of decisions made in the performance of duties.
- Ability to handle confidential information relating to descriptions and specifications of proprietary appliance control hardware design and software algorithms, product development and introduction schedules, product costs and product performance weaknesses.
- Able to demonstrate experience with Product Development with consumer based products.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (highly regarded)
- Ability to undertake market research and influence product development strategy
