The Role

Our Gold Coast business has an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Director - Roads & Highways who will contribute to the winning and delivering of projects to meet our client's expectations, on time and within budget, across government and private client portfolios.

We are looking for a proven performer with a track record of delivering roads and highway projects for road authorities. Join an established, success team on a growth path. With a background of successfully delivering major transport infrastructure designs, you will have:-

•  A minimum of 15 years' experience in the civil engineering area with a focus on roads and highways
• Degree qualified with CPEng/RPEQ
• Track record in developing winning proposals
• Existing relationships in the Roads and Highways sector with TMR and Contractors
• Strong design management skills with a track record of on time and on budget delivery of major TMR projects
• Extensive design engineering experience including knowledge of the overall road design process and sub-disciplines (drainage, road safety barriers, pavements, PUP, lighting, signals, etc.) and experience leading design teams
• Established and positive relationships within the construction sector
• A sound technical knowledge of Australian design practices (Austroads) and State road authority standards
• The ability to mentor other members of the Transport team by building their technical, project management and client management skills.
