An exciting opportunity to join a team that is experiencing rapid growth globally due to opening new market demand. Regents Park location, easily accessed by public transport. You will report to the R&D Manager and work closely with the R&D. We require a Product Development Engineer who can develop and deliver practical solutions from detail design through to production in a timely manner. Some international travel may be required.

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
• Ideation and Concept development through to commercialisation stages and Manufacturing
• Hands-on prototyping and validation & testing
• Keep informed of new developments in equipment, materials and technology
• Operate in a cross-functional team environment with internal stakeholders to identify, prioritise and lead projects in line with business and brand strategies
• Demonstrate technical ownership of the existing product range through troubleshooting and decision making as required
• Embed processes that improve speed to market, reduce complexity and manage risk.

Skills, experience & attributes sought:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical / Design Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience preferably in a manufacturing industry
• End-to-end R&D projects experience
• Strong 3D parametric modelling, assembly and drawing skills (CAD)
• A hands-on approach towards manufacturing, inspection, prototyping, assembly and testing
• Understanding of, and alignment with commercial imperatives of the business
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, supervisory and computing skills
• Strong communication, influencing and networking skills
