 About the Position
Due to continued growth and demand for our services, the ALS Industrial has an immediate career opportunity for a Civil or Structural Engineer at our Canning Vale office in Western Australia.
 
The ideal candidate will have an interest in structural integrity, civil/reinforced concrete remediation, forensic analysis of structures and material performance. A good background in structural design and theory of structures would be advantageous.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Be a self-starting Civil/Structural Engineer that can complete small projects from start to finish ensuring the following is carried out: data collection, collation, analysis and reporting on structural integrity and monitoring.
• Involvement in the management and delivery of field testing and laboratory works.
• Assist with planning and undertaking comprehensive failure analysis in construction materials and structures.
• Maintain precise technical records in accordance with Company procedures and relevant standards.
• Ensure that proper safety procedures are followed.

About you
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5-7 years of work experience in a structural/civil engineering environment, with at least 1 year of experience with in-service monitoring of existing structures and/or assessment of degraded structures
• Prepared to work away on a regular basis.
• Strong background in theory of structures, structural design.
• Proficient with Strand7 and SPACE GASS software.
• Competent with Australian standards.
• Analytical strengths, with good problem solving skills.
