The Role

As an Asset Co-Ordinator in the Catchment Asset Management team you will be applying best practice asset management to developing and overseeing the delivery of integrated, and optimised annual investment programs.

You will support the Team  Leader - Catchment Programs and the Senior Asset Coordinator in establishment and delivery of the investment programs for the Catchment Services. Key responsibilities for this role include co-ordinating and supporting the development and maintenance of Minor Capital and Maintenance investment programs; working closely with the delivery teams and Regional Services to ensure effective delivery of annual programs; applying financial management practices and develop processes to determine the effectiveness of the programs.

We aim to make roles flexible, and whilst roles are advertised as full-time we will consider requests for flexible work arrangements, including part time.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience in working in high performing teams and adding value to those teams
  • Experience in developing effective networks in a diverse delivery environment 
  • Experience in program development and oversight, in particular, capital and operational investment programs
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills which adds value to business and customers
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritise and have time management skills to deliver on long-term objectives while managing day-to-day challenges within tight timeframes and work unsupervised
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all stakeholders and to prepare and deliver information to an audience in a professional manner
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting a healthy, safe and supportive work environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to self-awareness, self-reflection and ongoing personal development
  • As Melbourne water utilises Maximo for works management, an understanding of this system would be preferable

This role requires the following:

  • Appreciation and understanding of asset management and works programming principles.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or related technical discipline.
  • Victorian Driver’s License
