  Due to continued strong growth, an opportunity exists for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Resource Engineering group in Perth to work on various projects with some of the major clients in the market.
 
GHD's Resource Engineering Group provides a range of multidisciplinary engineering services to a broad range of mining, industrial and oil and gas clients.
 
Primary responsibilities of the position include:

• Undertake materials handling calculations and prepare sketches for engineering drafting
• Preparation of mechanical datasheets and other engineering documentation through all project phases
• Work within our multi-discipline design team to provide solutions for major and junior mining clients across a range of sites and commodities
• Assist in the preparation of proposals in response to client requests

In order to be successful in this role you will demonstrate capability in the following areas:

• Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical
• Greater than 5 years’ experience
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Focus on client service, and good people relationship skills
• Some resource sector experience in conveyor systems, stockyard systems, storage bins, transfer chute and machines (stackers, reclaimers, ship loaders etc.)
• Experience with Conveyor design software such as Sidewinder
• Experience with WA’s Iron Ore Producers is well regarded
• A willingness to travel occasionally and accept secondment type opportunities at remote locations would be well regarded
