About the role

We are looking for two (2) ambitious and motivated Engineering Draftspersons / Designers to execute structural, mechanical, tubing and hydraulic Solidworks modelling for several challenging, fast-track projects over the coming six (6) months (and beyond).

You will work amongst a diverse and multi-skilled team (acknowledged as industry-leading specialists) that is made up of -

• Senior Engineers & Technical Advisors;
• Project Coordinators & Account Managers;
• Project Engineers;
• Innovation Team; and
• highly-experienced Operations Manager.

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you shall –

• produce Solidworks 3D models to meet project and manufacturing requirements;
• Liaise with Project Manager and Engineering Lead to collate key information to prepare models;
• Apply Australian Standards and / or customer specification standards to develop and deliver designs that are cost-effective and are operationally efficient for workshop and site delivery;
• Provide technical input regarding manufacturing, or processing techniques, materials, properties, processes, advantages and limitations which may affect project and equipment engineering and planning;
• undertake planning and organising to meet agreed deadlines;
• undertake planning, organising and works execution to meet agreed deadlines;
• ensure compliance with all documented procedures and systems;
• provide feedback, suggestions and solutions to the Project Manager and Engineering Lead regarding any identified issues or opportunities;
• Compile shop detail drawings from 3D models
• Short visits to site for survey and 3Dmodel validation

in addition to taking any and every opportunity to demonstrate your initiative, and deliver innovations through the works.

Skills and experience

Your Profile:

You shall have a proactive can-do attitude, and thrive on challenges.  You shall be willing to "go the extra mile", can manage numerous and shifting priorities and work pressures, and can support your peers and team.

You will -

• be a qualified Mechanical Draftsperson;
• have demonstrated experience (more than 2 years) in structural, mechanical, tubing and hydraulic drafting and design;
• preferably have significant understanding of hydraulics principles and practices, and previous experience in a hydraulics business;
• have relevant industry experience; and
• be familiar P&ID drawings, Process Flow Diagrams, Tubing / Piping Regulations, and Australian Standards.

You will be required to undertake pre-employment assessments, inclusive of a Medical, and Drug & Alcohol test.
