About the role

As a result of continuous company growth, GPA is looking for enthusiastic Mechanical Engineers to join our national team. Located in GPA's Perth Office, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and develop your skills to the next level.

Skills and experience

All Applicants: 

  • Australian recognised Mechanical Engineering degree that satisfies the entry requirements for Chartered Membership with Engineers Australia
  • Minimum of 3 to 10 years proven technical experience in Oil and Gas or Mining, with the following skills and experience preferred:
    • Oversight of Drafting Activities
    • Checking and Sign off Technical Drawings
    • Development of Calculations
    • AS 4041, ASME B31.3 Pressure Piping Design Experience
    • Development of datasheets for Mechanical Equipment
    • Experience with specification of Mechanical  Equipment such as valves, special piping items, tanks, pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, bulk material handling equipment
    • Review of Manufacturer's Data Reports
    • Review of Vendor Documentation
    • Problem solving abilities
  • Passion for Quality Engineering and Exceptional Client Outcomes
  • High level of attention to detail and documentation writing
  • Liasing with internal and external stakeholders to define requirments and develop solutions
  • Willingness to travel and work on site when required
