World's Leading Property & Infrastructure Group are looking to add rail signalling site and project engineers to supplement an established rail team.

My client is paying above market rate, has a strong pipeline of work and has a progressive culture.

The Role

You will have proven capability in the procurement, design, co-ordination and delivery of work packages with specific and significant experience in overhead wiring, signalling and track.

As your primary focus as a Signal Engineer (Signalling Project Engineer), you will provide technical engineering input for design and construction, including safety, quality and program for rail systems packages for signalling (design, test, commissioning) and consider the project interfaces such as including overhead wiring, substations and track.

You will also be responsible (in conjunction with the Signalling Project Manager) for managing consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers and working with major stakeholders. You’ll provide engineering and management expertise to the engineering process at a system level, in addition to supporting the Project Manager to ensure the project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Extensive experience in rail signal engineering & associated principles;
  • Proven experience working in project teams and delivering major rail projects;
  • Demonstrated experience signal engineering planning design, construction, testing & commissioning phases;
  • Well-developed skills in writing technical documentation/reports;
  • Excellent communication skills including strong written, negotiation and influencing skills;
  • Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant discipline;
  • Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Railway Signalling is preferable.

While the estimated salary for the role is approximately $120,000 to $140,000 + there is flexibility and each application will be treated individually.
