Structural Design Engineer
Locations: Wollongong, Illawarra region, NSW

Our client is a multi-discipline engineering consultancy company, has been providing award winning design and innovation to their clients for over 40 years. They are experiencing continual growth, while having major expansion plans for their Structural Consulting team in the heart of Wollongong.

Reporting to the Structural Discipline Manager you will be given the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of concept and detailed structural design and documentation on a diverse range of projects, whilst taking responsibility for your projects and expanding your portfolio.
As the Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible to:
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders as necessary;
- Produce, review and check designs in accordance with relevant design standards and codes;
- Deliver design calculations, reports and drawings under limited supervision;
- Provide structural engineering design service to clients as necessary;
- Mentor junior engineers;
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment;
- Prepare project briefs, scopes of work and fees under limited supervision;
Your experience will include:
- Engineering degree in structural engineering;
- Minimum 4, up to 7 years post-graduate engineering consultancy experience;
- A self-motivated, technically competent individual able to work independently but also comfortable in a team environment;
- Excellent communication and report writing skills;
- Structural design across concrete, timber, steel and masonry;
- Familiarity and/or experience with our preferred software packages: RAPT, Microstran, Inducta, Strand7.
