We are searching for a Senior Civil Inspector to join our team on the Hughenden Lake Project. This role would be suited to a Civil Inspector looking to take the next step career-wise.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Ideally you will be a proactive engineering professional that possesses personal qualities of integrity and role-ownership, with the ability to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment. You will be able to provide technical expertise as a diverse site inspector.
- Managing and monitoring project progress.
- Ensure the contractors meet all the requirements as set out in the contract, including safety and compliance with SESCP measure as they apply to this project.
- Manage and respond to all requests for information as requested from stakeholders.
- Provide overview to the financial performance of the project, and provide information to assist with the assessment of monthly contractor progress claims.
- Daily on-site visits and maintenance of a job dairy.
- Provide overview to the safety, health and environment aspects of the project and report these to the risk manager.
- Update project team on daily progress, and assist with the weekly reporting.
Skills and experience
- An associate degree in Civil Engineering would be ideal but not necessary.
- 10 years' experience with civil engineering projects and site inspections is essential.
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles, relevant codes, standards, and engineering legislation is essential.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating with others across other engineering disciplines to enable the timely delivery of projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
