Our client is a leading business in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of fume cupboards and other specialised ventilation equipment for laboratories, hospitals, universities and a host of other applications in Australia and internationally.
We are seeking a technically qualified person to take responsibility as product custodian and play the key role in product design, engineering, development and improvement of existing and new products.
Reporting to the Manufacturing and Product Development Manager you will be involved in engineering design and drafting, product development, technical training of staff and customers and production input from time to time.
To be successful in this position you should have
- A relevant technical qualification such as mechanical engineering or mech/elect
- A passion for product excellence
- At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant role
- Excellent AutoCAD and drafting skills
- Good insight and prioritisation skills
- Strong communication and people relationship skills
- A methodical and organised style with good documentation abilities
