Joining our LNG Operations Engineering support team, you will provide process engineering expertise to ensure the maintenance and integrity of all physical plant and associated equipment. 

Responsible for ensuring all physical plant and equipment is operated within the designed parameters, you will evaluate and approve modifications to existing equipment. You will also liaise with key stakeholders and keep abreast of QGC’s infrastructure development activities to understand future integrity engineering requirements

This role will have key accountabilities for both the front-line day to day operations support and the long term strategically process improvements.  


Some of the key accountabilities of the role include; 

•    Provide accurate and timely technical support to all operational teams
•    Develop engineering standards/solutions
•    Provide technical assistance for the development of Asset Integrity systems including but not limited to the Management of Change system and Asset Integrity performance reporting and governance
•    Assist with the development of operating procedures including the definition of operating and integrity envelopes
•    Ensure engineering compliance (e.g., statutory requirements, JV requirements, permits, legislative approvals) for the LNG plant;
•    Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and HSE Case reviews as appropriate.
•    Monitor and make recommendations on technology advances
•    Responsible for managing the integrity of the LNG plant through active monitoring of the process ensuring operations remain within the operating and integrity envelopes
•    Responsible for the provision of process engineering support including ensuring compliance with established standards, provision of technical advice and management of critical drawings
•    Responsible for monitoring and reporting Asset Integrity compliance

Requirements

It’s a challenge that calls for relevant tertiary qualifications and you will already be in a process engineering role, preferably involving the operation & maintenance of LNG plant or other installations involving complex processing equipment (oil and gas), with demonstrated leadership skills and competencies. 

Superior skills in communication, issues resolution, computing, problem solving, influencing, collaboration and time management are similarly crucial. We are looking for a motivated engineer with a sound understanding and commitment to asset integrity.

Your experience must include expertise in engineering process development and safety management systems and broad knowledge of relevant local and state legislation.
