The Role
This exciting opportunity offers the right candidate a Project Engineering/ Mechanical Design role for automation projects both locally and internationally.
Projects range from robotic and automation cells to integration of machine tools and special purpose equipment, predominantly for manufacturers.
For technically minded and motivated individuals this role will provide you with the chance to take your technical skills to the next level whilst being involved in interesting and fulfilling projects.
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Managing Projects from conception to execution
- Concept development, 3D mechanical design and detailing
- Numerous projects at different stages, simultaneously
- Project costing
- Sales support
- Completion and sign off
- Post installation customer support
- Administration and reporting
- National and overseas projects as required
The Person
- Advanced 3D CAD design and detailing skills
- Experience managing automation/ robotic projects from conception to completion
- 5 years plus experience in Automation and or Manufacturing industries preferred
- Knowledge of robotics an advantage
- Ability to work to deadlines and budgets
- Understands and manages external and internal customer expectations
- Team player
- MS Office skills
- A highly motivated self-starter
- Enthusiastic and well organised
- Excellent communicator
- Experience within a machine tools manufacturing environment will be of value
