Engineering Dynamics Consultants (EDC) is a small Perth based engineering consultancy company that specialises in the fields of:
- Structural dynamics
- Non-routine vibration and noise analysis
- Design/audits of bulk handling machinery
- Computer simulation
- Fatigue analysis
- Test and measurement of structures/machines
- 3D Modelling and Simulation / VR / Drafting
EDC provides these services to the mining, offshore, industrial, rail and marine industries across Australia and overseas. Direct relevant experience in these industries and fields is required.
An opportunity now exists for an experienced and practical professional Senior Engineer to join the group and provide strong leadership and management of a small team of professional engineers. The right person must have the following qualities:

- Can apply practical engineer knowledge and experience to solve real world problems
Application and experience with advanced Finite Element Analysis, correlation of measured data to computer models and general dynamic or stress analysis is highly desirable.
The position:
- Working with the Managing Director and the Engineering Manager, supervise, lead and direct a small team of other professional engineers.
- Scoping and defining site based measurement and FEA projects.
- Taking ownership of, manage and conduct the work from proposal to execution and through to completion.
- Liasing with the site/client contact for all aspects of the project.
- Building and maintaining client relationships.
- Undertaking computer simulation of structural/mechanical systems.
- Travelling to site (generally within Australia), set-up transducers and instrumentation and conduct measurements.
- Prepare / review professional engineering reports.
