The job:
The role of Senior Traffic Modeller will be sitting in the modelling and analytics team, and will be working on a number of transport modelling projects within VIC and nationally. Some of the core responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical expertise in relation to complex technical analysis of traffic flows and assessment of mitigation measures.
- Preparing and delivering the traffic engineering and transport planning report.
- Undertaking Road safety audits and blackspot assessments
- Building, calibrating, analysing and auditing both simple and complex models of transport networks/road systems
- Preparation of fee proposals and scoping of the projects
The person:
To be considered for this Senior Transport Modeller, you will need:
- Tertiary Qualification relevant to Transport Modelling & Planning
- Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering projects in the traffic and transport industry
- Proven consultancy experience with excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- High level of competence using VISSIM
