Your new role
Based in Townsville, there is an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer (Civil) to join the Infrastructure Management and Delivery team.
In the role of Principal Engineer (Civil) - Corridor Management, you will you will be responsible for protecting the existing and future State-controlled road network against adverse impacts that result from development activities and from other works carried out in the road reserve by agents other than Transport and Main Roads.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering and or Transportation Engineering or an equivalent qualification which is accepted by Engineers Australia
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) (Civil and or Transportation)
- Current holder of a "C" class driver's licence
- Experience in engineering operations, manages processes, systems and people
Duties
-
- Technical direction to corridor management to ensure impacts of developments, accesses and ancillary works and encroachments are minimised
- Civil and traffic engineering and technical expertise and advice to Corridor and Land Management
- High-level policy, planning and civil engineering and input into planning, design and civil construction projects
- Organise consultation and maintain appropriate and effective liaison and communication with community, local government and industry groups
- Prepare ministerial correspondence and briefing notes on development and other corridor management matters
