The Company

Our client is an award-winning rail contractor that specialise in Heavy Haul, Metro and Light Rail projects. Their continued success is evident in them winning projects throughout Australia. Due to this growth and success it has opened up a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join the business and become an integral leader in a newly won project in Regional NSW.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be given the chance to scope out the market, identifying opportunities in Infrastructure construction and track. You will a team of dynamic and diverse engineers on a high profile project which will be instrumental to Inland Rail . This appointment requires a Project Manager who has extensive experience construction, maintenance specifically relating to rail and infrastructure in the rail corridor. This is a permanent position within the business and will be highly regarded.

Reporting to the Construction Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • The leadership of pre-contracts including, submissions and tendering for complex rail projects relating to Rail maintenance and construction
  • Delivery of successful program of works on projects in regional nsw
  • The leadership of a diverse and dynamic project team
  • Identify and advise on all contractual and commercial claims related to work
  • Communicate with clients and all stakeholders
  • Ensure a safe working environment

Requirements for the Position:

  • Degree qualified
  • Extensive experience across rail specifically relating to station upgrades
  • Ideally, you will have 10+ years experience as an Engineer and at least 5 years in a Project/Construction Management appointment
  • Proven experience in identifying opportunity and managing the pre-contract process
  • Proven delivery experience on complex rail and infrastructure projects.
  • A proven, successful and continued relationship with TFNSW in delivering projects
