About the business and the role
Shop for Shops is a leading retailer and manufacturer of shop fittings, shelving and display solutions. We have four showrooms across Australia and our business is growing quickly. We are keen to recruit highly motivated, dedicated individuals.
We design, manufacture, install and distribute shop fittings to thousands of retailers each year including some of Australia's most recognised brands. We have available an outstanding opportunity to join our Melbourne branch as a member of our committed team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Leader you will be responsible for:
- Liaising with customers onsite or in our showroom;
- Preparing design briefs for customers;
- Making site visits to assess customer requirements;
- Providing 3D CAD elevations and floor plans to customers;
- Preparing cost and time calculations for all jobs;
- Project management of site installations from concept to fitout.
- Invoicing jobs and making sales
You will be required to communicate your design solutions clearly and effectively to a broad customer base and provide the outstanding customer service and support that is the hallmark of our ongoing success.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate should possess:-
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Industrial Design, Engineering or Manufacturing or an associated discipline
- Previous knowledge or experience in shop fitting and/or similar areas
- High level of proficiency using Revit, Solidworks or Autocad
- Accurate Drafting, Joinery Detailing and Documentation skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- The desire to work in a hands on environment where you will be expected to do whatever is necessary to meet the needs of the customer and grow the business
- The ability to cope with complexity and represent an organisation which prides itself on always going the extra mile
Candidates will require a current driving licence and a valid work visa. You may occasionally be required to work weekends and/or late nights to carry out time critical installations.
