About the Role:

MPC Group, in a joint venture with John Holland and TRILITY are currently undertaking a contract awarded by Water NSW to design and construct the 270km River Murray to Broken Hill Pipeline. We are now seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team. The position will be a FIFO role working a roster of 21/7. MPC group is a leading Pipeline and Energy Construction company that will value your ideas and encourages your input.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring controls for projects comply with company standards
  • Using project control systems and procedures to ensure cost, progress and scope control on projects
  •  Initiating variance reports in respect of costs, time & resources
  • Create and present formal and technical reports, working papers and correspondence
  • Highlight problem areas and issues and suggest methods for improvement
  • Identifying opportunities for reductions in project cost including analysis of design changes, time, resource & cost implications
  • Ensuring end of month reporting is completed in a timely manner
  • Management of Subcontractors, issue of said
  • Completing build up for variations
  • Perform critical path analysis and advise on areas of concern and mitigation measures
  • Ongoing liaison with the Project Manager, engineering team, operations, service providers, stakeholders & other contractors, suppliers on an ongoing basis
  • Work with the project team, Client and stakeholders to ensure project schedules are accurately maintained, resource loaded and costed
  • Work closely with the Client to provide regular and accurate reports as per Client requirements
  • Initiate and maintain a close working relationship with the Client representative(s) on scheduling issues
  • Resolving potential issues or refer them to the Planning Manager
  • Establishing key performance indicators to benchmark individual & collective project performance

Knowledge and skills

  • Advanced understanding Primavera P6, version 8
  • Exceptional report writing skills
  • Strong team oriented mindset
  • Open honest communications with excellent written & oral skills
  • Ability to devise and implement innovative work practices aimed at improving productivite
  • Focus on achieving results and meeting targets
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and cultures
  • High level communication and influencing skills necessary to deal effectively with clients and stakeholders
