Project Manager - Client Side (Education/ Health) Sydney

This well established Construction Project Management consultancy is a specialist in the planning and development of complex built environment commercial, education, health and other social infrastructure projects. The company has grown significantly over the last 24 months which is a great achievement for a business which has been in operation over 20 years. They have a requirement for a Project Manager to join their Sydney business to work on a large scale hospital and tertiary education project.

They have built a reputation for the development of highly complex new build hospital & university research facilities. They are involved from early stage planning, feasibility studies, business cases, through services planning & project delivery and operational commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• experience managing building projects from scope development to hand-over
• large project experience, $50 million + ideally, education, commercial, institutional or health preferred  
• experience in a consultancy, client-side role or head contractor role
• coordinating design development documentation and regulatory approvals, liaising with consultants 
• develop documentation for the appointment of contractors through tendering
• Progress & schedule reporting, as well as risk issues and budget control 
• stakeholder management and client liaison 

The role could suit someone that has been part of a team on major university or hospital development or involved in delivering a strategic capital works program. 

To be considered for the role:

• 4-8 years + experience in a project management role
• Tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering, architecture or another property related discipline   
• strong report writing and proficient in PC applications
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
