As part of the Hickory service offering, our Customer Care team manages a variety of maintenance, defect rectification and repair work inside apartments and building common areas of our completed residential developments. The Customer Care team has also grown and the culture within it is excellent in part because our operators are trusted to work independently and because the leadership of the team are good, fun, respectful people.

The role includes the provision of general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, tiling, plastering, waterproofing, plumbing and other maintenance skills.  Successful applicants will need to: 

  • Work independently and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Be able to manage difficult situations and conversations and discern what is a defect and what is chargeable maintenance.
  • Be able to co-ordinate and manage sub trade access and defect rectification.
  • Understand the Standards & Tolerances as set by the VBA.
  • Perform works to a high standard for clients & building facilities managers.
  • Carry out duties with minimal disruption to customers and users.
  • Select and use appropriate equipment safely and sound construction practices.
  • Raise and close off work orders within timelines using online systems.
