About Them
My client are a well known national organisation who shape the landscape for the Australian consumer.  With a new vision for safety, set by a forward thinking leadership team, the team leader will play a key role in leading an experienced group of HSE Advisors working on their major capital works projects
 
About the Role
Based between projects, you will be fundamental in the development and promotion of the safety culture. Primarily responsible for developing and implementing safety improvement programs across the business, you will also carry out performance reporting, develop and implement health and safety training and undertake health and safety audits and contractor management. This diverse role will set you up for success as it will give great exposure to a broad scope of HSE activity.

The Team leader is also responsible for supporting development of HSE Advisors within the team and assisting the rest of the HSE group. The focus being on developing strong and sustainable relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and embed a best practice HSE culture.

About You
Handling conversations with confidence and demonstrating a high level of interpersonal skills, time management and the art of managing a wide range of stakeholders across the business are all crucial to success in this position. You will have solid experience within medium to large organisations within construction or major projects at site level. You will demonstrate experience in the planning, development and implementation of health and safety compliance programs and management systems. Experience in leading or mentoring a team is also desirable.
