Williams Metal Fabrications is a family owned South Australian Company servicing the civil & infrastructure, oil & gas, marine, mining and defence industries.
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Metal Fabrication Estimator with a proven track record to join our team and contribute to the further growth of the company.
Having the ability to work autonomously and also within a team environment, you must have strong interpersonal skills as well as being able to communicate with both clients and suppliers. In addition you will have experience in tender preparation, management and delivery, excellent time management and organisational skills.
Reporting directly to the General Manager the ideal candidate's role will include the following;
· Client liaison
· Prepare detailed estimates to fabricate, supply and install metal work
· Manage tender submissions
· Pre-tender meetings and analyse likely success rate
· Identify cost risks and opportunities with tender submissions
· Following up tender submissions
· Pricing contract variations
· Forecast resource requirements for the project and work within tight time frames
· Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and manage client and consultant relationships
· Experience using computer software for estimating
· Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with our IMS and other relevant standards and legislation
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will possess the following attributes;
· 3 years' experience in a similar role
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
· Acts to minimise errors and maintain high quality standards
· Able to convey ideas and solutions effectively to clients
· Ability to successfully maintain existing client relations and build rapport
· Desire to seek out new work and new clients to help grow the business
· Superior communication and time management skills
· Strong IT literacy
· Team player
· Exhibit a high level of professionalism and ethical behaviour in all your dealings
· Attention to detail
· Strong negotiation ability
· Innovative
