Detail information about job Contracts Administrator (Builder/Developer). Terms and conditions vacancy

  • Want to work in both a CBD office and on site?
  • Gain further knowledge from very experienced site team of CA, SM and PM
  • Love building residential projects and want to know try with a developer?

They are a builder/developer with actual processes and systems!

Working for a builder/developer is a bit different – all CA jobs can be a challenge and a headache but when you build for yourself you have no pesky client changing their expectations all the time!

These guys do things the right way as the senior management have all come from a well-known tier 2 builder in Sydney so they have the right safety systems in place, they have delivered projects before are they have already delivered 2 projects and have 3 projects in construction at present

Predominantly they deliver units and townhouse style projects from $10-$20million in value in the Northern Shore/Beaches area and with a great office in the CBD by Town Hall station you can work from both site and the office

What will I be doing?

Lots of procurement of trades, comparing and presenting packages and scheduling payments (so nothing new there). Where things get interesting is that you get more involved with actual delivery and even pre-construction work like DA and design.

Working with a very experience senior CA you will get support and guidance and can work from site 1-2 times a week to develop your relationships with subbies and the site team

If you enjoy negotiating prices, testing the market, really getting your head around cost saving and overviewing the construction of a residential build from a macro level then this is the role for you

What do I need to be considered?

All the basics – a “can do attitude”, an ability to negotiate with subbies and present comparisons to the PM, residential build experience in Australia and one years’ experience + as a CA.

This role is ideal if you have worked for a head contractor and now want a new challenge at a builder/developer. With a very flat management structure you will get the chance to deal with the director on a regular basis and could very easily be managing your own projects in 3 years’ time

Sounds great – what are the other perks?

Hours are flexible and you can work from both the site in Gordon and the office in the CBD so you get the best of both worlds.

With ISO accreditation, Jobpac and buildsoft implemented the company is set up properly and sites are very tidy with safety an important consideration. This is nota dodgy builder/developer who cut corners so things are done properly

If you have ambitions to be a PM then this could be you here in 2-3 years and you will get autonomy to make your own decisions (no micro management here)

Salary is dependant on experience but the range is $75-$100k package and as they are based in the city they have fortnightly Friday night drinks and meals out
