About the Company
My client is one of Australia’s most successful and exciting boutique builders that have built a reputation by delivering challenging and high end design projects. With the design apartments and retail booming the division has already delivered a number of high profile projects and are looking to grow headcount. This is a unique role to join a company focused on sub $25m build.
About the Role
The Director of the company is passionate, progressive and above all professional and as part of their next stage of growth they are now seeking to appoint a PM to join the team and assist in the delivery of these projects. As PM you will look after 1 or 2 projects concurrently with the opportunity to run bigger projects.
As a Site Manager you will report to a Project Manager and will be directly responsible for the control of the site team and its activities, including:
- Programming and coordination of subcontractors, suppliers and materials deliveries
- Developing and building strong rapport with site teams, internal and external stakeholders
- Liaison with project teams ensuring successful delivery of project to schedule
- Implementation and management of the construction program along with Project manager
- Close liaison with contract administrators to identify variations and claims
- Be able to drive, motivate and keep subcontractors on side, to ensure projects meet deadlines
- Possess high level of knowledge in managing a site from a supervision perspective
- The ability to monitor and maintain various contractors simultaneously
- Strong understanding of the construction process including following works schedules, trade management, liaising with stakeholders, regular reporting and keeping administration records
You must also possess the following skills:
- Proven experience as a Site manager in medium density apartment builds with basements/ delivering end to end commercial projects
- Problem solving ability
- Strong desire and motivation to build a career within the company
- Consistently hardworking, honest, positive and interested in being an integral part of a valuable team
