Client Details
An international provider of valuation, advisory & specialist property services in the Australian & NZ markets is now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the delivery of Quantity Surveying reports and Tax Depreciation schedules and other projects to Clients. A leadership opportunity to support and train fellow team members and assist in business development for the department, identifying key opportunities, develop and implement business strategies.
The Quantity Surveying team specialise in professional property advice for insurance replacement costs, investment property management, investment properties, and tax depreciation schedules. Also providing accurate estimation services to determine development feasibility and for building contract or tender reviews, progress claims assessments, insurance replacement assessments, project budget planning and ‘bills of quantities’ for tender preparation. Providing advice for individuals, small to medium businesses and global corporations, clients inc accountants, architects, engineers, builders, owners, property developers, financiers, government bodies, insurers, loss adjusters and solicitors.
Description
- Booking and undertaking inspections where required.
- Preparing accurate QS reports, Tax Depreciation Schedules and other reports.
- Assist in the Preparation of Insurance Replacement Valuations.
- Liaising with relevant external parties - builders, developers, banks and financial institutions.
- Train, mentor and assist all team members to ensure great outcomes for the customer and growth within the team’s skills.
- Assist in the implementation of the business development strategy for the department.
- Work with multiple stakeholders to position the business as a leading service supplier.
- Identify prospective clients and participate in formal/informal presentations to encourage client engagement.
- Create appropriate QA and QC processes in accordance to insurance, legislative and industry body requirements.
Profile
- Significant experience (a minimum of 5 years) as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying and an associate membership with AIQS.
- Display a high degree of professionalism with a strong customer service ethic.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and outgoing, with the initiative and ability to achieve results and an ability to motivate, lead and mentor a high achieving team.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated conceptual and problem solving and decision-making skills.
