Our client is at the forefront of residential apartment construction boasting over 30 years of experience building timeless , contemporary residences on the Gold Coast and South East Queensland. They have a reputation for delivering high quality apartments with unique architectural design. With a brand new medium rise apartment project about to kick off a position has become available for an experienced Site Manager. 
  
Reporting to the Project Manager you will create a driven, positive and enthusiastic environment with subcontractors and all personnel. You will manage and achieve a top quality finish to the internal and external project within budget and time.   
 
Your duties will include:

• Maintain a safe workplace by ensuring all OH&S procedures and processes are implemented.
• Be able to work in a fast paced environment 
• Deliver regular toolbox talks.
• Minimise site extras and reduce waste.
• Ensure all construction is completed within the schedule of the program.
• Plan and schedule for adequate labour.
• Ensure all apartments meet company standard and zero defects on handover.
• Approve and sign of variations and ensure according PO’s are issued.
• Prepare overview reports to be submitted to the Building Manager.
• Maintain strong relationships with Subcontractors.
• Provide high quality customer service.

The Successful candidate will posses the following 
  
You MUST have a minimum of 3-4 years experience in a Site Management role in Australia working on residential apartments. You will be trade qualified or have a tertiary qualification in construction management or similar.  You will also have the following skills / qualities:

• Ability to prioritise and handle numerous high priority tasks.
• Strong building knowledge and OH&S knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
