Position Summary:

Drawing upon knowledge and experience from tendering, estimating or quantity surveying the Domestic Building Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all rates for the Insurance contract are researched, modelled and constructed appropriately against market data and confirmed with business stakeholders.

The Domestic Building Specialist will also coordinate the process of updating relevant stakeholders including subcontractors of any rates changes, within the contract terms.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop trade specific, activity based schedule of rates and test the rate with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy
• Ensure rates are accurately maintained and systems updated as required
• Ensure communication to relevant stakeholders is done on a timely basis
• Ensuring that the rates are understood and agreed internally and communicated to stakeholders
• Other responsibilities as directed by Tandem

What we're looking for:

• Prior experience/background in developing ‘activity based costing’ structures and models.
• Building estimation background will be highly regarded
• Prior experience with rates analysis and management
• Exceptional analytical and reporting skills
• Experience in sourcing relevant data and developing trades related rates
• Strong relationship management skills, resilience and optimism.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with SQL will be highly regarded
