Reporting to the WA Operations Manager the construction supervisor will be responsible for project and cost management, both onsite and offsite for hire projects. Based in Naval Base, this role encompasses travel throughout the WA region dealing with clients from a range of industries. Key role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing project estimating, supervision and management of all construction projects
- DIFOT for all projects to estimated bid margins or better
- Provide and manage construction SWMS, SOP's and on-site safety requirements with commitment to Zero Harm Policy and Integrated Management System.
- Control of site directions, variations & work in progress (WIP) payments on and off site in relation to Contracts administration
- Control of construction budgets, subcontractor labour & transport rates
- Assist Hire department with onsite service calls and hire yard operations
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within the modular building, building, construction or resource industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors with strong leadership skills
- Builders license or trade qualification recommended but not essential
- Experience with and knowledge of the BCA
- Contracts administration preferred
- A strong understanding of safety and environmental management systems with the ability to drive a strong safety culture.
- Knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft packages is essential.
- Great interpersonal skills and communication skills with use of initiative to problem solve.
