MSP Engineering projects will be remembered historically as a turning point in Lithium production in Australia and we seek applications from people who are inspired by this opportunity and in joining the team to take on a key leadership role as Site Manager.
Being the most Senior MSP Engineering representative on site, your position is responsible and accountable for the successful, safe execution and delivery of the site project requirements for the high profile, world-class lithium project.
Reporting directly to the General Manager - Projects you will provide leadership for the Construction Manager and will lead and manage the site based HSEC, project engineering, project controls, QA, commissioning, planning, commercial and site administration teams.
Your role:
- Ensuring the successful and safe execution and delivery of the project
- Responsible for legislative compliance on site
- Managing, forecasting, reporting and meeting key site milestones, deliverables and resource requirements
- Developing and maintaining solid and effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and MSP project teams
- Controlling site budget including managing, forecasting and reporting on financial performance
- Leading and managing the procurement of construction equipment, materials and subcontract services
What we are looking for:
- 10 years+ site management experience in oil and gas, power and/or complex multi- discipline mining and minerals processing plants
- Qualified in a trade or engineering discipline and construction management
- Well-developed leadership skills with highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering, electrical, civil and mechanical drawings and specifications, and the ability to interpret P&ID drawings
- Ability to respond to changing priorities in a positive manner, with excellent time management skills
- Confidence in dealing with complex issues and ability to problem solve issues in a logical manner based on facts
- Highly proficient using MS-Project, Excel, Word.
- Ability to hit the ground running as a highly motivated self-starter who can work in a fluid and dynamic environment
The position is available for immediate start for the appropriate candidate and engaged on a maximum term contract.
