Ambrose Building is Queensland's largest insurance repair specialist and has partnered with Suncorp to manage Water Claims statewide and we are looking for the right people to join our team in this unique role.

Firstly, we need to let you know, this is an office based position on the Sunshine Coast working from 7am-5pm, Monday- Friday.  It IS NOT an onsite Supervisor role.  

Please note: This is a fast paced and dynamic role!  We coordinate make safes for burst pipes that requires trades onsite within 2 hours and we look to complete the overall repair as quickly as possible to get the customer back into their home as fast as possible. Trust us when we say, you will never be bored!

The successful applicant will undertake the management of make safes, specialist reporting and minor repairs from the office.

While you may use your knowledge and skill to undertake some desktop tendering, this is primarily a Supervision role.

Triaging of repairs, assessing risks and coordinating responding trades will require you to possess your QBCC Building Supervisor's Licence and experience in renovations and repairs will be highly desirable.

You will:

• Work alongside an established team of Supervisors
• Need a good level of IT experience as you will need to utilise Outlook, Microsoft Excel, convert docs to PDFs and upload these to our system
• You will use six computer screens to navigate our custom built state of the art repair management system after role specific training that will take approximately 2-4 weeks depending on your previous experience
• Liaise with customers and trades over the phone regarding repairs therefore customer service is a large part of this role
• Coordinate make safes and review reports for insurers requiring a keen eye for detail and a willingness to speak to trades to ensure they have clearly communicated their observations and actions onsite in written and visual form (via photos)
• Liaise with trades and coordinate repairs
• Review reports and pass them to our Submissions Team for uploading into our Client's systems
• Use your technical knowledge to achieve better and more effective methods of repair

This role will suit someone who:

• has worked in an office Supervision role before
• possesses a good level of IT skills, or 
• is willing to invest in their own training and development to rapidly acquire these skills. 

We have had site based Supervisors and/or suitably qualified trades come straight off the tools and succeed in this role however they were very aware this is an office based role and they were looking to add to their existing construction knowledge and skills.

It is a MANDATORY requirement that the successful applicant will have their QBCC Building Supervisor's Licence or equivalent.

Please note: if you do not have a QBCC Building Supervisor licence or greater you will not be short-listed for this role.
