We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager to join our Delivery team, working on a consulate project which will require a high level of security clearance. Ideally we’re looking for someone who has experience working on complex government construction projects exceeding $10 million, and has a focus on client satisfaction and delivering quality fitouts. Role responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of the fitout project.
- Engaging and managing Building Consultants, Engineers or Certifiers as required.
- Reviewing Project Scope of works and identify any risks and/or final information to be prepared by the team.
- Preparing and monitoring Fitout Programmes, inclusive of DA’s, CDC’s and OC’s, and delivery of projects in designated timeframes.
- Managing all services contractors and trades on site with Site Managers.
- Managing and driving weekly site meetings with clients, and communicating actions back to the client.
- Managing project budgets and work to meet and exceed these.
- Strong focus on client satisfaction and quality of delivered fitout.
- Action and complete any outstanding matters and defects with urgency.
- Mentoring junior team members.
What you’ll need
- Qualifications and experience in Project Management or relevant trade qualifications.
- Experience working on construction projects.
- Sound knowledge and experience in OBO and/or USACE project requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial project management experience.
- Sound industry technical knowledge gained in a variety of previous roles (trades is considered a plus) to assist articulate and interpret technical detail within drawings and specification.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Proficient with MS Office, MS Project and Primavera (P6).
- Good understanding of Australian standard contracts and knowledge of WHS standards and procedures, BCA and Australian Standards.
- Classified construction, logistics, and materials handling a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with Unifer or other document control software is considered a plus.
