From knock-down rebuilds, to sloping blocked and heritage-style homes – this builder is up for the challenge and has made a name for themselves in a big way, designing & building a number of impressive examples up to the $1M mark. With work at an all-time high, they are looking for an energetic estimator to come in and join their team, supporting the senior estimator.

What you’ll be doing:
- Develop/maintain relationships with subbies, suppliers, staff & clients
- Complete quantity take-offs & prepare a bill of quantities & pricing for builds
- Liaise with Sales & Design team, Drafting & CAs to clarify design/build issues
- Obtain quotes/pricing; check specs/drawings & price contract variations 
- Raise & issue purchase orders
- Resolve pricing issues with suppliers
In conjunction with the Senior Estimator you’ll also be assisting with: 
- Preparation of sales estimates for the Sales & Design team 
- Maintenance of estimating data & pricing calculations for DataBuild
- Tendering and negotiation of supplier agreements
- Managing supplier agreements/relationships 
- Address quality issues with suppliers and where necessary seek alternative suppliers

What you'll need:
- Minimum of 1 year handling residential estimating
- Solid communication skills & ability to get the job done
- Reasonable knowledge of the Building Code of Australia
- Experience on single and double story homes – (customs are advantageous)
- Databuild or estimating software knowledge (preferable)
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive approach to work & ability to plan around the unexpected
