Project Engineer required for a growing Civil Contractor in Melbourne's Western suburbs.
Your new company
Our client is a respected and growing Civil Contractor that operate across a range of sectors, including major Road and Rail projects across Victoria. Our client are growing and with numerous projects recently confirmed they now seek an experienced Project Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As a Project Engineer you will be contributing to the overall success of the businesses by effectively managing and coordinating projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time and on budget. Your duties and responsibilities include:
- Planning the delivery of projects, including planning procurement documentation
- Working closely with SPE / PM to ensure project dares are met
- Manage internal and external client relationships
- Assist the SPE / PM with monthly progress claims and project variations
- Cost tracking
- Managing the subcontractor programming and delivery
- Safety task observations on high risk activities
- Communicate with SPE / PM and CM
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or relevant degree and have extensive experience in Engineering principles and construction methods, ideally gained within the Civil or Rail Infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of Expert Estimation and Jobpac, but this isn’t essential. There is a full position description available upon request.
