The Company

Our client is an award winning major civil contractor. They are regarded as one of the top civil companies to work for in Australia and have a long history of successful project completion. Typical projects include roads, rail, mining, subdivisions and earthworks but they also do complex infrastructure such as marine, port and bridge projects.
 

Having identified future growth in Sydney and NSW region they have a need for a Project Manager and two Project Engineers to assist them to run a project that they have recently won and the expectation is that they will also pick up further work in Sydney as well as across their interstate offices.
 

The Roles

They are looking for a Project Manager with experience running section of works and projects up to and over $25m in value. They are also looking for two Project Engineers with strong civil experience who has worked with a  civil contractor managing a roads or earthworks package.


 
Key Responsibilities;

- Mentoring and managing a team of engineers and supervisors
- Client liaison
- Budget and P&L responsibilities
- Managing daily, weekly and monthly programmes
- Subcontractor management
- Ultimate responsibility for Safety, Environment and Quality
- Managing a team of multidisciplinary staff on complex projects


 
Knowledge and experience required;

- Ideally a qualified Civil Engineer or a minimum of a Bachelors or equivalent in a related discipline
- Worked on road or earthworks projects worth over $5m in value as a minimum
- Experience managing a team of Engineers and Supervisors
- Worked closely with Quality, Safety and Environmental teams
- Strong project commercial experience
- Ideally have exposure to bid teams
