Our client who is in the technology industry is currently seeking a motivated customer service officer and marketing assistant to join their friendly team. This role is based in the Eastern suburbs in Melbourne close to Ferntree Gully. This is a role that will include a bit of everything, from liasing with customers over the phone, to providing quotes, processing orders, supporting the sales staff and providing some key aspects of marketing for the company.

Reporting directly to the Victoria Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:

  • Processing sales orders and invoicing
  • Action and follow up customer sales and service enquiries
  • Provide back office and administrative support to sales and operations staff
  • Assist sales team with quote preparation and sales objectives
  • Build & maintain positive customer relationships;
  • Assist sales team with marketing objectives
  • Maintain digital and social media platforms like website and facebook
  • Organise trade shows
  • Provide local marketing support
  • Participate in global marketing meetings
  • Coordinate deliveries for all areas of the business
  • Liasing with staff regarding scheduling of goods for despatch and inwards goods

The right candidate will need:

  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to prioritize, being organised and able to work within a fast paced environment
  • Proficient with all Microsoft suite like Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Experience in ERP, CRM and accounting software would be highly desirable
  • Ability to think on your feet and multitask
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in organising trade shows or exhibitions would be highly desirable
  • Experience with social and digital media platforms including electronic direct mail
  • Some marketing experience
  • Be prepared to participate in global marketing meetings after hours
