Detail information about job Social Infrastructure - Associate Project Finance. Terms and conditions vacancy
New South Wales alone is investing more in Infrastructure projects than Canada. With a recognised Infrastructure deficit, the challenges facing State and Federal Governments are significant. Through new and innovative ways of procuring, financing, building and maintaining Mega Infrastructure Projects, the sector is providing some of the most exciting career opportunities in the job market.
This newly created organisation is involved in the complex partnering of Commercial, Financial and Technical services to State and Federal Governments. Whilst the traditional PPP model has had many successes, new procurement methods are evolving with risk being managed in a more transparent and collaborative manner. At the very heart of the organisation is the real opportunity to shape and activate these "Nation Changing" infrastructure projects.
Reporting to the Social Infrastructure Director you will be responsible for advising and making recommendations in the many and varied stakeholder engagements. Often working at the earliest stage of potential projects the role will involve feasibility and strategic testing, financial analysis through complex models in addition to providing detailed reports and technical elements of project proposals. As part of a team of Industry and Policy heavyweights your contributions will be an important part of realising concepts and bringing strategic planning to physical projects. The work will be high profile and personally rewarding whilst testing your commercial skills in a complex environment.
With 3 - 5 years postgraduate experience with a Professional / Financial Services or Advisory Firm you will have a track record of being a consistent high achiever. Despite this you will be frustrated in the detail with your current job where the ho hum transaction wheel brings repetitive work where it is hard to see the outcomes that you are largely responsible for. Working with this very new team, with hard work and determination the opportunity for the successful candidate to make a real difference has never been more achievable.
