Business Data Analyst
Financial Services
A large well-known Financial Services firm located in Sydney are seeking a Business Data Analyst on a 6-month contract. The purpose of this role is to focus on data elements, data discovery and the profiling of data to comply with new standards in regards to reporting process and underlaying technology in a regulatory reporting environment.
The duties of this role will include:
- Technical analysis data and having the ability to read and write complex SQL,
- Comfortable in creating protypes using SQL and Excel to show reporting requirements,
- Recommend solutions to deliver business value, liaise with stakeholders, customers and Technology groups,
- Prepare risk assessments, support testing and implementation activities.
- Plan and report on business analysis activities.
The ideal candidate will need to have a strong ability to analyse and interpret data, be proficient in Teradata SQL, and be proficient in Accounting and regulatory reporting terminology. A background in Accounting/finance is favourable. The person will ideally have 3+ years in a similar position, with someone coming from an Accounting background in banking highly desirable. The ideal candidate must have experience working with large data.
