An international trading house are looking for an ambitious Operational Risk Manager to join their team in a regional role. The trading house has a lot of algorithmic and proprietary traders which is heavily regulated across Australia and Asia.
The role will be working closely with the Head of Operational Risk in identifying and improving the internal control environment, provide assurance that the business is conducted in line with their risk appetite and help enable effective Operational Risk decision making.
This role entails providing timely management information to help reduce risk exposure and minimise losses, while improving the effectiveness of key processes and controls. You will partner, challenge & collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their business needs in the context of operational risk management and control.
You Will:
- Assist in the end to end process for Incident Management, including systems and reporting
- Take ownership for the disaster recovery and business continuity framework
- Assist in the Key Risk Assesment program
- Develop Risk profiles, action plan monitoring and reporting
- Assist with the local Risk Appetite review
- Do deep dives and risk based assessments when required
- Assist in developing and maintaining the Operational Risk framework
You will have 2-5 years experience in either operational risk, management consulting or internal audit. Exceptional stakeholder management ability and ability to understand complex concepts whilst working collaboratively with both the business and wider risk teams.
