This local Stockbroker has developed a reputation second to none within a niche area and are committed to servicing their customers to the highest possible standard. They have become a well-respected industry player and currently have a vacancy for Cash Settlements Team Leader.
  
This role is responsible for managing a team of Cash Settlement Administrators and ensuring the accurate, efficient and timely processing of Equity and Derivatives Cash Settlements. You will use GBST Shares and GBST DCA systems and manage the movement of funds. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential in this role.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise the Cash Settlements team and contribute to their ongoing learning and development
• Manage workload so that it is completed correctly and efficiently
• Keep up-to-date with market trends, policy changes and requirements
• Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders and clients
• Settlements and Reconciliations
• Payment and receipt of funds for equity and derivatives market transactions
• Process cheque and direct deposit requests
• Money Market Batches
• Process RTGS/same-day transfers and telegraphic transfers for clients
• Liaise with financial advisors and banking advisors
• Calculate Cash Market Margins
• Contribute to continual process improvement

The ideal candidates will possess:

• Prior stockbroking industry experience with 2+ years’ using GBST Shares
• Proven Management/Leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of equity and/or options processing
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly
• Tertiary Qualifications in a related field (highly desirable)
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
