Our client is a significant player within the Australian wealth management industry, undergoing significant change and is now looking for a high calibre and customer driven Senior Accountant to join their Financial Control team.
You will be responsible for helping deliver financial reporting, analysis and support to the groups wealth business teams whilst internal resources are working on various projects. In addition you will assist in the decision making process with the aim of driving business performance and efficiency. This will involve working in tandem with the Financial Controller to provide accurate and timely financial information to the business unit divisional finance team to ensure all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations are met. Specifically this will involve preparing and approving registers, schedules, reconciliations, trial balances and supporting financial reporting and audit completion.
You will also be expected to be involved in project and change related initiatives which will include assessing how change programmes will impact BAU related activity.
To be considered, you will be a qualified accountant with significant experience with statutory and regulatory accounting with in a financial services environment. Your technology skills will be advanced, you will have highly advanced communication skills and have a track record in influencing and contributing to the decision making process alongside business leaders.
