Role Overview

As a Lending Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving the quality and growth of our client’s Consumer Home Lending business in the region/s. You will be accountable for ensuring the right people are deployed into the right roles, to best meet the needs of the customers and to ensure a sustainable focus on service excellence. You will partner with Bank Managers to drive branch lending performance, lending process efficiency, compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Proactively lead and coach a high performing team of Lending Managers
• Regularly conduct, robust performance feedback and development conversations and drive performance improvement.
• Actively promote development plans, career conversations and ensure on-going training/accreditation requirements for all staff are maintained.
• Implement and drive initiatives within your region that will contribute to improving Customer Advocacy.
• Provide Input to all decisions relating to recruitment, resources and talent of Lending Managers in your region(s).

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading a team of remote specialised service and sales professionals with successful results.
• Consumer & Business Lending experience essential.
• Display an understanding of the P&L implications of pricing and resourcing to achieve business objectives and manage a profitable business.
