The Lending Development Manager role is to lead a team of lending professionals within the south-east region for Bank of Melbourne. It is a senior leadership role in the organisation, so the applicant should have, or should be leading a successful Team in a customer facing & sales environment.
 
You will be empowered to grow your lending teams business in the market, with the ultimate goal of balance sheet growth.
 
Your role will involve people management of a market based lending team, accountability for challenging lending sales targets, development and execution of business development plans and ensuring your lenders earn all of their customers business by protecting our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and execution of a team of lending professionals to go beyond expectations, managing the sales revenue, productivity and increasing balance growth.
• Proactively seeking new external opportunities and developing key business referral relationships in the local market.
• Liaising with other departments/business units and branches to ensure necessary support for the achievement of business targets and taking responsibility for the end to end lending process through both direct control and influencing.
• Delivering good people management practises through regular observation, coaching and performance management.
• Up-skilling new Team members and reducing their time to competency.

You will need to be passionate about bringing out the best in your team, focusing on more than just the targets at hand. You will already possess strong networking skills and strong influencing skills.
