Client Details
My client is a growing financial services boutique company that is expanding its business and is looking to bring a well versed Compliance Officer to join the international team. The role is a versatile Compliance, Risk and Legal role where we are looking for an expert in the field of financial services.
Description
- Management of company’s compliance and risk frameworks across all three business units
- Conceptualize, implement and review compliance and risk frameworks
- Review policy and procedure documents in relation to AML/CTF obligations to ensure consistency and compliance
- Developing and delivering training to the business, for example on AFLS compliance
- Perform internal audit of processes to ensure adherence to compliance procedures and implement any necessary actions and controls from audits
- Ensure KYC files are accurate and complete
- Develop and ensure all compliance and operation procedures are up-to-date
- Engage with internal and external senior stakeholders to ensure alignment of company’s policies and regulations
- Advise senior leadership and the business on local and international legal and legislative issues
Profile
- A tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline with a good level of industry experience or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in the application of effective Risk & Compliance frameworks
- Experience in fund/asset management or have experience in working within a corporate banking environment in Australia
- Experience in the FX space
- Strong knowledge in policy management, advisory, monitoring and assessments in compliance and risk
- Experience in compliance policy writing, reviews/internal audits and system/process design
- Thorough understanding of the regulatory reporting environment and have ad exposure to AML/CTF and AUSTRAC reporting
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong stakeholder management and a critical thinker
