The purpose of the Regional Manager role is to lead our Stores network to deliver on our overall Suncorp Strategy. Face-to-face networks are the preferred channel for complex product sales, we will deliver on this purpose through our vision to become the destination for the "moments that matter". We create value for customers and support them during the important moments in their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the region marketplace customer base both prospective and existing.
  • Design, implement and monitor an effective business plan agreed with the Head of Stores Transformation& Optimisation.
  • Utilise and manage the region marketplace and resources to deliver business objectives.
  • Identify drivers of performance and implement corrective activity where performance gaps exist.
  • Collaboratively work with other Business Leaders across the organisation to generate opportunities for sales specialists for banking, insurance and life products.
  • Achieve customer acquisition, service and retention for product lines and customer segments.
  • Represent Suncorp to maximise visibility of our brand by actively and positively promoting Suncorp at public and business events, including the development and delivery of presentations and speeches.
  • Role model and support a risk management culture through behaviours, discussions and interactions with staff and customers, at all times in line with Suncorp’s risk culture.
  • Ensure sound risk management principles and systems are in place, this includes proactively identifying risks, implementing actions and improvements and monitoring remedial outcomes.
  • Recruit and develop an engaged workforce.
  • Lead, coach and motivate your staff.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, banking and/or finance is desirable 

Experience  

  • 7-9 years’ experience in leadership role (leader of leaders).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, and ability to create and manage highly motivated and focused teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in banking/financial services focused on performance and service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in roles requiring growth and retention of a customer base.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and community engagement activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing front line compliance risks.
