We support a flexible workplace and have a collaborative team environment. You will be form part of the Senior Leadership team for Group Risk, based in our corporate HQ in Newstead, Brisbane.
The role:
As the Head of Group Risk Innovation Unit, you will establish and lead a newly created team and cement its role as a higher order problem solving unit, solving BOQ issues and creating breakthrough moments for the bank. Working closely with the Chief Risk Officer, you will enjoy leading the team to deliver strategic initiatives and projects across the group with particular emphasis on delivering digital and technology focused programs.
Further, you will work closely with the broader Group Risk leadership team to identify key projects and initiatives requiring your team’s expertise.
Specifically you will:
- Design & lead a program of transformational change to achieve an innovative Group Risk function.
- Build a core team of industry experts and lead and empower the team to deliver quality customer outcomes.
- Work successfully with internal & external stakeholders to build and develop meaningful strategy that simplifies and delivers real outcomes.
About you:
As a commercially astute individual with extensive risk experience across banking / financial services, coupled with sound project management expertise - you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of critical thinking methodology including proven expertise of customer centred design thinking
- Proven experience in delivering innovative and transformational change
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence
- Ability to foster and cultivate business opportunities and partnerships
- Drive, energy, enthusiasm and resilience to drive through and achieve end results and improvements
- Familiarity working within complex matrix structures
