We are a small accounting practice who pride ourselves on our warm and friendly culture which results in long-term relationships with our clients. Our Directors believe in providing exceptional service to our client base.

Focusing on the SME market, you will be responsible for supporting the Directors and Senior Accountants across Tax Accounting and Business Advisory services.

Looking for someone who is driven, takes pride in their work and who would thrive in a collaborative environment.

We are looking for a passionate, career minded accounting and tax enthusiast to assist us with:

  • Preparation and finalisation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Trusts, Companies, Partnerships and Superannuation Funds.
  • Deal with a diverse range of clients from small to medium businesses, tradespeople and high worth individuals.
  • Tax Compliance.
  • Tax Advice and Tax Planning.
  • Preparation and finalisation of Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax Returns etc.
  • Liaising with the ATO.
  • Assist clients with the management of their internal accounting systems.
  • Support the partners and other professional staff in implementing strategies and providing advisory services.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Accounting Degree is essential
  • Extensive experience in a similar role within public practice of at least 3-4 years
  • Advanced MYOB experience a MUST
  • Experience with Sage HandiSoft, Xero and QuickBooks will be considered an advantage
  • Extensive Tax knowledge
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Passion for Accounting
  • Proficient in computer literacy such as Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Sound technical knowledge in Business Tax, GST, CGT, FBT, PSI rules and Division 7A etc.
  • Honest and professional approach
  • Well presented
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Experience working in client facing roles

The candidate will report to Directors and Managers and have the support of a great team to help them in their role and their career development. Training and education is offered to all our professional staff.
