My client is a leading Occupational, Health & Safety Business, International footprint, based in the heart of the CBD. 

Your previous exposure and experience should include intimate knowledge of Accounting standards and company taxation & other statutory obligations. 

What the role involves:

Monthly management reporting – preparing monthly financial reports (e.g. profit and loss, balance sheet, and cashflow statements); preparing general ledger entries; monthly reconciliation of allocated ledger accounts; maintaining the fixed assets register.

Statutory reporting – assisting the Group Accountant and Auditor with completion of bi-annual audits; preparing regular reporting to the ATO for tax-related activities; preparation of payroll tax and worker’s compensation returns.

Business and management support – reconciling daily cash flows and bank accounts to optimise cash requirements and minimise interest expense; creating 12-monthly cash flow projections for the Board report; providing variance and analysis of monthly results on a timely basis; providing support to Sales and Product teams as requested.

Financial management – automation and process improvement; assisting with annual budgeting; documenting all accounting and reporting tasks; providing relief back-up to other Accounting staff where required​
What we are looking for:

Your skills and qualifications:

·        CA or CPA qualified is a must
·        Reasonable commercial experience (in an accounting capacity) 
·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·        Meticulous attention to detail
·        IT savvy
·        Effective organisational and project management skills
